Do you feel loved? Really loved?

Do you feel loved? I mean, really loved no matter what? Do you feel loved when you don't look your best, when you don't act your finest, when you don't measure up to those around you?

As women, it is so easy to let our feelings of inadequacy flood our thoughts and forget that we are not supposed to live life doubting our self-worth. We were created by love, to be loved and to love. It should be felt inside our bones, with every breath in and out, and poured out of its abundance.

But how do you feel love deep in your bones? How do you receive so much love that you can't explain it, just know it?

You let the ultimate love giver, love you. God is seeking people like you and me to experience his love.

He is seeking as in walking in the heat of the day to a desert well and waiting for the right messed up lady to show up.

He is seeking as in sending a prophet to a far location, in a foreign land, to help one lonely widow who had no one loving on her.

He is seeking as in sending his only son to die loving you.

He is not waiting for you halfway, he is not asking for you to seek harder, he is not disappointed, upset or outraged with your past. He wants to love you in the present and to love you in the future, as in forever.

Do you feel loved? King David felt so loved that he wrote around 150 Psalms in response. Mary felt so loved that she poured all her bank account savings on Jesus' dusty feet. John felt so loved that he wrote an entire letter about it.

Sometimes we just need to discover timeless truths and read them over and over again. Like King David, repeat the words until we believe and trust them.

"The Lord... who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, who redeems YOUR life from the pit, who crowns you with Steadfast Love and Mercy, who satisfies you with GOOD so that your youth is renewed like the eagles."

"The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abouding in steadfast love... For as high as the heavens are above the earth so great is his steadfast love toward those who fear him; as far as the east if from the west, so far does he remove our transgressions from us. "

"Your steadfast love is better than life, my lips will praise you."

Real love gives more life than breath, it breaths life into dead people.

The above print hangs on my dining room wall. I love all the art work this lady does. Eternal truths to remind me everyday of what matters most.

Ruth, the artist, just published this beautiful book with seasonal reminders of God's promisses
