15 Best Amazon Prime Deals For Your Health

Once a year, the shopping website Amazon offers limited-time deals for their Prime Members, and today is the day! I like to search for items that I will be buying anyway during the next months and try to get them for cheaper during the Prime Deal.

Some of these items will be on sale for the next few hours and some for the entire day, so make sure to order what you need before the deal ends.

Here are my top finds that may also help you save some money:

- Tumeric Curcumin: This is a great natural anti-inflammatory, so I usually take it year round a few times a week. It is also great for brain health. This deal is almost half price!

- Probiotic: Most of your health depends on the health of your gut, so taking probiotics and eating fermented foods is a must to restore your health and keep all your systems running well. This deal offers a 50 billion option with 15 strains. It really can't get more powerful than that!

Instant Pot: I use my electric pressure cooker at least three times a week. It makes cooking at home so much easier and faster. I make beans, stews, chicken, steam vegetables, and much more. Mine is from the brand Cosori, but there is a big sale going on for the original 6 quart instant pot.

- Kids Probiotic: My boys love this one and it has 5 billion count with 14 strains. They are chewable.

Trace Minerals: Most purified water is lacking on essential minerals that would be present in high-quality spring water, and because the soil is so depleted these days, the foods we eat don't have as many minerals as they used to have, so I always like to add a few drops of these trace minerals to my water. Every chemical and electrical process in our bodies use minerals, so the entire body is affected when we lack important ones.

Collagen: I love adding collagen to my daily protein drink because it really helps with hair, skin, joints and bone health. I highly recommend adding this to your diet. This brand has great reviews!

Aspartame Free Gum: Most gums you buy at the store have artificial flavors and sugars that are really bad for your health. These ones I always keep inside my purse if I need to freshen up my breath on the go. My oldest son also likes to chew these ones and they help prevent cavities as they have xylitol. A win win!

Blender: My blender is looking like it could die any day! If you enjoy making a lot of smoothies you may consider these sales on high potency blenders. I am really thinking about getting one! This one is half price.

Protein Bar: I always keep one of these RX Bars inside my purse in case I go hungry on the go and don't want to worry about finding healthy food to buy. They have a few simple ingredients, with lots of protein. No gluten, dairy or refined sugars in them. The blueberry and chocolate sea salt flavors are on sale for a few hours.

Deep Cleansing Oil: This is the cleansing oil I use, especially in the winter to wash my face as it keeps it from getting dry, but it still melts away dirt and cleans the skin.

Clarisonic Facial Cleansing Brush: I got one of these years ago and I still use every week to give the skin a gentle exfoliation. It is probably going to last forever!

Organic Protein Shake: I usually use the protein drink from this same company but they have a deal on their meal replacement drink that is a protein drink plus lots of veggies and super foods. I have not tried this one yet, but if you are looking for a quick nutrition on the go or something to add more nutrients to your day, this is a great choice. No gluten, dairy or added sugars.

Upcoming sales coming later today:

Vitamin D3: Especially during the winter, taking vitamin D every day really helps the immune system. We don't get enough sunlight in the winter to achieve all the needed Vitamin D.

BCAA: This is a great post-workout supplement to build up your worked muscles. These are amino acids that the body needs for muscle recovery.

Glucosamine: My husband takes this to help with joints injured in the past that may need an extra help in staying healthy. I sometimes take it to help out any joints that need a boost.

Bonus Deal: This is not specifically related to your health but it could be because it keeps you sane!!! This is a great price for this robot vacuum cleaner. Savings of $120! It is on my wish list for birthday and Christmas gift combined!

Hope you find lots of great deals today!!!

The Eating Plan That Helped My Dad Lose 15 Pounds In 2 Months Without Exercise

When my dad started suffering from back pain, I recommended a change in his diet so that he could lose the extra pounds that were putting a strain on his spine. Hoping to make it easy for him, I wrote a simple eating plan, that is basically the same one I follow, to direct him in the right direction.

To my surprise, he lost more weight than I ever imagined possible and besides that, he started to feel much better with the new foods he incorporated into his diet. As a lot of people asked me to share what worked for him, I decided to write down in a printable format so anyone can have access to the information.

Despite the fact that my dad lost weight without exercise, as he was still recovering from his back pain, I recommend that if your doctor approves you practicing exercise, try to incorporate at least 30 minutes every day of aerobic and weightlifting routines. You will feel much better than just following a diet.

Personally, I like to plan ahead and have all my exercise clothes next to my bed so that in the morning I don't have to decide if I am going to exercise or not, I just get dressed and ready to go. After I drink a cup of water to hydrate, I do 30 minutes of exercise following an exercise app, online classes or just going for a run around the neighboorhood. When you exercise on an empty stomach in the morning, your body has higher levels of testosterone so you produce more muscle and also being low on sugar, you burn more fat. The routine of having those 30 minutes every morning for exercise, even if you just spend the time stretching, creates a habit that you can follow without too much thought.

The reason I personally follow this eating plan and exercise routine is not to lose weight but to keep a chronic condition I have under control. If you would like to lose some weight, or just increase your quality of life, I recommend that you follow the "1, 2, 3 Eating Plan" for a week and observe how you feel. One week is not a lot of time, but it could be the week that starts a positive change for the rest of your life. It is worthy to try!

As nothing in this world is perfect, there are situations where I don't follow the "1, 2, 3 Eating Plan" completely, when I am a guest in someone's house or traveling for vacation. However, 90% of the time I follow this eating plan, because I know I feel my best when taking good care of my body.

I would also like to clarify that my kids don't follow the "1, 2, 3 Eating Plan" as they don't need to lose weight or deal with a chronic condition. They eat everything I cook and have a healthy diet but don't follow any dietary restrictions.

Finally, anything you eat at a restaurant is going to make it harder to control the ingredients used, the quality of seasonings and how it was prepared. So, I recommend that you cook at home as much as you can, with natural ingredients and fresh produce. If you don't have a lot of time to cook, make bigger portions and freeze the leftovers for other days.

You can eat healthy without spending lots of money or be following complicated recipes. I don't make gluten-free cakes, pizzas, pies, pasta or bread. If you can buy some gluten-free and sugar-free natural product for a sporadic treat, go ahead. But you don't need any of that to eat well. After your body stops craving simple carbs like wheat, you won't miss it that much anymore.

Don't forget that the "1, 2, 3 Eating Plan" will help your body and your mind have more energy and health. The focus is NOT on what you cannot eat, the focus is on the quality of life that you CAN have!

These dietary suggestions are only for informational use and they don't substitute your doctor's recommendations. Always consult with your doctor.
